My thoughts are I wish I could get back into reading more of my Karen Kingsbury books.  I have enjoyed being able to read some books, but there was definitely times when it was hard to find the time to read and actually relax.  As an assignment it was hard sometimes to find time to read or I felt like I wanted to keep reading when I had other homework to do.  I have not noticed any changes in myself, but my reading behavior has gotten better.  I just wish I could have more time to read for enjoyment and relaxation.

Divine

Mary Madison was a child of unspeakable horrors, a young woman society wanted to forget.  Now a divine power has set Mary free to bring life--changing hope and love to battered and abused women living in the shadow of the nation's capitol.  Mary is educated and redeemed, a powerful voice in Washington, D.C.--both to the politically elite and to other women like her.  But she also has a past that shamed polite society.  Her experiences created in her paralyzing fear, faithlessness, addiction, and promiscuity.  At the crossroads of her life, only one power set Mary free and gave her a lifetime of love and hope.  A power that could only be divine.

Peggy Madison is Mary's grandmother,  a quiet woman who has spent her life praying for her granddaughter.  Peggy clings to the belief that God has a special plan for Mary.  Through years of sorrow and longing,  Peggy walks the journey in faith and watches from a distance as one key person after another comes into Mary's life and demonstrates the timeless, powerful love of the Master, the Savior.  The divine Lord.

Emma Randall is a single mother fleeing an abusive relationship, wondering whether there is hope for her and her young daughters.  She is desperate, broken, and unloved, tempted to commit the unthinkable.  Then Mary Madison introduces Emma to the greatest love of all, greater than any either of them has ever imagined.

With hallmark tenderness and power, Karen Kingsbury weaves a tapestry of life, loss, love, faith--and the miracle of resurrection.

The 9/11 Series--Beyond Tuesday Morning

This is the sequel to the bestselling One Tuesday Morning, to Jamie Bryan it is still September 11, 2001.  There is a question that keeps me a wondering...What will move her from living in the past to living the life God has given her today?
It's been three years since the terrorist attacks on New York City, but FDNY widow Jamie Bryan keeps waking up to the aching pain of that one Tuesday morning, the morning of September 11, 2001.
Determined to find meaning in her grief, Jamie pours her life into volunteer work at St. Paul's, the small memorial chapel across from where the twin towers once stood.  In the stream of broken, grieving people who make their way through the church doors, Jamie connects with two men--a firefighter forever changed by the attacks, and a Los Angeles police officer.
Unsure and feeling somehow guilty, Jamie opens herself to the possibility of loving again.  But what she learns about one man sends her reeling.  How can this be God's plan for her life?
Now only the persistence of a tenacious man, questions from Jamie's curious young daughter, and words from her dead husband's journal can move Jamie Bryan beyond on Tuesday morning--toward life.

The 9/11 Series--One Tuesday Morning

One Tuesday Morning, is the first book in the 9/11 Series; it follows the emotionally gripping journey of several people whose lives were directly affected by the tragedies of 9/11.
Karen says it was very difficult to write One Tuesday Morning.  For the ones touched personally by the attacks on America, know that Karen's heart grieves with you.  Karen prayed this book might be sensitive and compassionate and it might help you grieve.  Karen's father asked-if it was too soon for a story like One Tuesday Morning.  Karen replied; as a nation we have shared our shock and our anger.  Now it is time to share our grief.
One Tuesday Morning is the emotionally, gripping story of a devoted firefighter, and a driven business man, strangers from opposite sides of the country with the same face.  They meet in the stairwell of the South Tower that fateful Tuesday morning, but only one of them will leave the building alive.  Battling amnesia, the survivor must learn how to be the husband and father he never was, by living in the shoes of a man who no longer is.  Ultimately he will only find his way home because of the love and faith of one very special woman.
